Mystery 35 Tipsy Seagull
SHARES SOLD

A well-equipped modern classic with impeccable sailing credentials and a yacht for true sailors

2004 Mystery 35 #3

Designed by Stephen Jones, an acclaimed yacht designer who has penned a long list of classic yachts, the Mystery 35 is a deep lead keeled modern classic with impeccable sailing credentials and a yacht for true sailors. The perfect fast cruiser or day sailer.

Darthaven Marina

A sought after marina with a waiting list of typically 5 years plus. We're on ---, a prime berth facing upstream near the deep water end of the pontoon. Quiet and easy to manoeuvre into, we enjoy the best of the stunning views across the river to Dartmouth.

Dartmouth & Kingswear

The sailor's gateway to the south west, Channel Islands, France and the Scillies, the towns are crammed with character, shops, pubs and restaurants, plus stunning scenery, great walks, gardens & historic estates within easy reach of our mooring.

Tipsy Seagull has been recently upgraded with a significant investment of new equipment, rigging and sails, and comprehensively equipped by a meticulous owner who’s now looking to free up funds for a day sailer in the Med, either through outright sale, or by sharing with one or two partners.

With a recent comprehensive re-rig, new Sanders full-batten main and cruising chute, heating, AIS, solar power, safety equipment, and everything needed in the galley, this is a yacht that is unlikely to need another penny spent on her inventory for many years to come.

Whether your aspirations are day sailing to Dittisham, dashing over to Brittany or cruising to Cornwall, Tipsy Seagull and Darthaven Marina fuses the looks of a classic and the performance of a racer with the best après-sail available anywhere.

A yacht share based in Dartmouth, Devon is the perfect alternative to a regular yacht charter in Devon or Cornwall.  Within a day’s sail of most of the UK’s south west coastline including Salcombe, Plymouth, Fowey and Falmouth, our syndicate will provide the continuity and familiarity with the yacht that is normally lacking in a charter, plus drop dead gorgeous classic looks and the sailing performance of a thoroughbred.  How many charter yachts can match that?

Also known as yacht fractions, our yacht share syndicate will entail some ongoing maintenance, but this is minimised on Tipsy Seagull with coppercoat antifouling, which just requires an occasional light sanding to reveal fresh copper. The main winter job is hull polishing which is about one day per side per person, so nothing too onerous.

You’ll also be moored in one of the south-west’s most beautiful harbours, with a guaranteed walk-to-the-pub berth in a highly sought after marina, well known for being full in the high season. Try that in August with a charter yacht!
